Former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, today, Thursday, 2nd April, 2026, donated copies of his recently published book titled “Headlines and Soundbites: Media Moments That Define an Administration” to Al-Hikmah University’s library.
Prof. Lateef Oladimeji, the vice-chancellor of the university, while receiving the books on behalf of the university library, described the book as a valuable addition to research, academic, and professional resources, adding that books and publications are a lifeline of every academic institution.
The VC described the author of the book, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, as a man who has left a remarkable footprint in politics and someone who Allah has used to shape many lives within and outside the country.
Alhaji Mohammed, in his speech, stated that the book documents his stewardship of information management and cultural development. He noted that the book provides insight and clarity on media moments that shaped public perception of events, including Twitter/X in Nigeria, the #ENDSARS protests, and the COVID-19 pandemic during President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
