Alhaji RAJI, Murtala Ajao was born in Ibadan on 19th May, 1957 and had his elementary education at the Local Authority primary school, Orisunmibare, Yinmi market, Osun state where he read primary one and two.
He joined with his senior brother (Rasheed Raji) in Abeokuta and began his primary three at Ago –Oko Muslim primary school where he finished and had the primary school leaving certificate in 1969.
He attended Agunbiade evening classes for two years before he sat for entrance into form two at the Nawair-ud-deen Grammar School, Obantoko, and Abeokuta in 1972 and finished his School Certificate alone in 1976 when his brother has left for further at the University of Ibadan.
Alhaji Raji joined the University of in January 1977 as a clerical Assistant, Clerical officer in May 1977 and Library Assistant in November 1977. He rose through the ranks of professional librarian of library officer’s cadre from 2003 to Chief Library officer in 2012
A result oriented Library and Information professional with ability to catalog, classify, analyze, preserve and disseminate information to users. Ability to process e-resources, collaborate and work with any stakeholders on setting up manual and online libraries. Very good in budgeting for organization’s library projects and programmes to achieve set objectives.
A student of Peace and Strategic Studies at local level, University of Ibadan, and a Certified Librarian registered with Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria.
