Alhamdulilah. Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, has once again blazed the trail in academic excellence as it recorded 100% success in the November 2021 NUC Accreditation exercise which was conducted in January, 2022.
The results of the Accreditation exercise which was released by the regulatory body early this week reveal that Al-Hikmah University had FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS in all eleven (11) academic programmes presented for the exercise. These include:
- Sociology – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Software Engineering – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Business Education – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Education Arabic Language – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Education Islamic Studies – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Education Chemistry – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Education Economics – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Education Political Science – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Social Studies – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Educational Management – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Guidance and Counselling – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
This latest feat follows similar excellent performance at the previous Accreditation exercise in Aprill 2021 in which the University secured FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS in 22 out of 23 academic programmes presented for the exercise while one programme had INTERIM ACCREDITATION STATUS. The programmes are:

- Geology and Mineral Science – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Petroleum Chemistry. – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Industrial Chemistry. – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS

- Biochemistry. – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Medical Laboratory Science. – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS
- Public Health – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS

- Business Administration. – FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS

The implication of this feat by the University is that virtually all the undergraduate programmes in the various Departments have secured FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS for five years (2021 – 2026).
It is also noteworthy that all the academic programmes in the University requiring professional accreditation have successfully secured the requirement. These include:
