SECTOR COMMANDER, FEDERAL ROAD SAFETY CORPS, KWARA STATE, PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO AL-HIKMAH UNIVERSITY

The Federal Road Safety Corps, Kwara State Sector Command, led by the newly appointed Sector Commander, Corps Commander Frederick Ade Ogidan, paid a courtesy visit to Al-Hikmah University as part of the effort to strengthen the relationship between the University and FRSC on road safety sensitization. Commander Ogidan is the 9th Sector Commander of the RS8:1 Kwara sector command of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

The Sector Commander commended the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Noah Yusuf, and the University management for the pro-active measures taken to secure the Al-Hikmah University Road. These include erection of speed breaker bumps, road safety sign boards , and sensitising the community on road safety awareness.

CC F.A. Ogidan also indicated that the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kwar State Sector Command, will strengthen and maintain the existing cordial relationship with Al-Hikmah University’s Special Marshal Unit. He invited the Unit to the upcoming road safety workshop which is scheduled for September 28, 2023.

The Vice- Chancellor welcomed the new Sector Commander to the University and thanked him for the visit. He urged the Corps Commander to encourage his officers and men to enrol on the various academic and professional courses available in Al-Hikmah University to boost their credentials. In particular, he reiterated that the courses in the Centre for Peace and Security Studies are very relevant to them.

The Registrar, Dr. K.A. Oladimeji, gave the closing remarks by appreciating Sector Commander and his entourage for the courtesy visit to Al-Hikmah University.
