







On Thursday, 10th April, 2025, Al-Hikmah University held its 20th matriculation ceremony, to officially welcome 30 pioneer Medical students and other 1581 new students across various programmes in the 2024/2025 academic session.
The ceremony was held at the University’s Auditorium, Adeta campus.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Noah Yusuf, stated that the 20th Matriculation Ceremony is unique as it marked another milestone in the over 20 years history of the University.
He reiterated that this year’s Matriculation was unique for several reasons: inclusion of pioneer Medical students; highest number of Matriculants since the establishment of the University; valedictory Matriculation of the incumbent Vice-Chancellor and the first Matriculation ceremony after 20th Anniversary.
The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the new students on their admission and encouraged them to make the most of their academic journey at Al-Hikmah University. He emphasised the importance of hard work, discipline, and morality. He further noted that these values were at the core of the University’s mission and vision. The Vice-Chancellor warned the new students against involving in anti-social activities such as drug abuse, cultism, and examination misconduct. He added that the University as the first Islamic faith-based institution in Nigeria has zero-tolerance policy towards such behaviours.
The Matriculation Lecture was delivered by Prof. Luqman Aribidesi Olayaki of the Department of Physiology and Sub-Dean, College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin. The topic was “Path to successful academic career of undergraduate students in an Islamic Faith-based University: The Case of Al-Hikmah University”.
In attendance at the Ceremony were the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees, Alh. Chief (Dr.) AbdulRaheem Oladimeji, OFR, Management team, Provost, Deans, Head of Departments, Staff and parents. Also in attendance was the Chairman, Stakeholders Forum, Alh. Tijani Z. Y. Orisankoko.
