



The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Noah Yusuf, has taken a significant step towards fostering global collaborations in research and education. On Friday, December 6, 2024, he joined other KU8+ Executives to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two International Research Consortiums – RIKESD LTD & Envirofly Consulting UK Limited, at the Vice-Chancellor’s office, University of Ilorin.
This strategic partnership aims to strengthen collaboration and innovation in research, staff and student exchange, and joint conferences among KU8+ member institutions. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by four KU8 Vice-Chancellors, namely, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole (SAN) – (University of Ilorin), Prof. Noah Yusuf (Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin), Prof. Shayk-Lukman Alade Jimoh (Kwara State University, Malete) and Prof. Francisca Oladipo (Thomas Adewumi University, Oko-Irese).
The KU8+ Consortium, comprising Universities in Kwara State, was inaugurated on January 11, 2023, with the goal of promoting collaboration and innovation among member institutions. This partnership with RIKESD LTD & Envirofly Consulting UK Limited is expected to further enhance the objectives of the KU8+ Consortium, promoting sustainable development in the region.
With this MoU, Al-Hikmah University, along with other KU8+ has taken a giant leap towards becoming a hub for international research collaborations. The University’s commitment to advancing knowledge and promoting global collaborations is evident in this strategic partnership.
