On Wednesday, 3rd of May, 2023, a delegation from Al-Hikmah University visited Crescent Schools, located at 2004 Housing Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. The purpose of the visit was to explore possible partnership with the School, especially in the areas of feeding Al-Hikmah University with candidates for enrolment into the various academic programmes.
The delegation from Al-Hikmah University was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Noah Yusuf, and included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor G. O. Akashoro, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor L. F. Oladimeji and the Director, Academic Planning, Dr. S. L. Nurudeen. Crescent Schools was led by the Head Teacher, Mr. Abdul Hakeem Akintola with four other staff in attendance.
The meeting started with a brief introduction of both the University delegation and School Team. This was followed by a presentation by the Principal of Crescent Schools, Mr. Akintola. He highlighted the academic achievements of the school and the various extracurricular activities available to the students.
The Vice-Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University, Professor Noah Yusuf expressed his gratitude for the warm reception the opportunity to visit Crescent College. He emphasized the importance of collaborations between Al-Hikmah University and Crescent Schools.
Professor L. F. Oladimeji expressed that his visit to Crescent Schools was an homecoming to him as he began his working career from the school about four decades ago. He recalled his experience in the School during its foundation period and thanked Almighty Allah for the steady progress achieved by the school.
The Head of Crescent Schools promised to lead a delegation to Al-Hikmah University within few months after which a Memorandum of Understanding could be signed between the two institutions on steady student enrolment and other academic partnership.
