Historical Background

Hailing from Apaasan Village, Ibadan Oyo state. I was born and raised in Ibadan town where I had my elementary education.

Educational History

Started informal education from Arabic elementary schools in Ibadan, Oyo state, I proceeded after a couple of years to get formal education at Lagos Mainland L.G Adult School, (Continuous Education) Lagos State 1974-1977 while going to Arabic Training Centre (Markaz), Agege 1973- 1977 at the same time which is equivalent to primary abd secondary education. After graduation, I proceeded to Imam Muhammad Bin Su’ud Islamic University, Riyadh, K.S.A. in 1979 on scholarship for Arabic Language and Literature degree. On completion of first degree by 1983 with a second class upper division, I began Masters programme in the same institution and completed it by 1990 with a top distinction grade. Also on scholarship I completed my Ph.D in Arabic Syntax and Morphology with Distinction Grade in 1998.
