DR W.O OPADOKUN

Assistant Lecturer
woopadokun@alhikmah.edu.ng
Department of Biological Science

Historical Background

I had my Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria, specializing in Plant Biology with a focus on Plant Biochemistry and Physiology. As a Plant Biologist in the Department of Biological Sciences, I teach courses in Plant Biology alongside some General Biology courses. My research primarily centers on Plant Eco-physiology, with a focus on enhancing crop production. I aim to develop strategies to optimize crop yields by breeding plants for desired traits, improving nutrient uptake efficiency, and enhancing resistance to pests and diseases. Through my work, I contribute to advancing agricultural practices and ensuring food security
