Dr M.B FALANA (B.Sc., PGDE., M.Sc., Ph.D.)

Lecturer I

Historical Background

I am a Lecturer of Microbiology and Public Health at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Nigeria. I had my Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees from Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria where I studied Medical Microbiology and Public Health. In addition,my B.Sc. (In Microbiology) and Postgraduate Diploma in Education degrees were obtained from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, respectively. More than my profession as a tutor, I focus my research on medicinal plants, having realized the impact of adulteration, cost, poor cultural acceptability, and side effects associated with drugs. I have explored series of researches on medicinal plants and hope to further collaborate with researchers across the globe in giving such study a wider scope.
