Dr. Ayinla AbdulAziz, a muslim by religion who hailed from Babaloke Akanji village of Moro Local Government Area in Kwara state. He was born on 23rd June 1988 in to the family of Dr. Ayinla Abdulrauf and Alhaja Ayinla Maryam Bolanle. He attended Federal Government Staff Primary School Sokoto where he obtained his first school leaving certificate in 1999, thereafter he proceeded to Government Secondary School Malumfashi, Katsina State where he obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate in 2005. He then proceeded to the University of Ilorin, Nigeria where he bagged his first Degree in Plant Biology in 2011, Master of Science and Ph.D. in plant Physiology and Biochemistry in 2015 and 2019 respectively. During his stay as an undergraduate student, he has served in several capacities including Departmental Coordinator, Association of Muslim Biological Sciences Students in 2009, Member of the ICPC in-House committee, University of Ilorin Student Representative Council in 2009, Registrar, University of Ilorin Student Union Judiciary in 2010 and Executive Chairman, Unilorin Student’s Union ICPC. As a youth Corp member, he also served as the State President of the NYSC Servicom Vanguard Community Development Service Group, Adamawa state in 2011. As a postgraduate student, he had served in the capacity as the pioneer Speaker of the Postgraduate Students Legislative Council in 2013, he has also mentored and co-supervised several undergraduate students in plant stress physiology and Biochemistry between 2014 and 2019. Dr Ayinla Started his career in the academia as an Adjunct lecturer at Department of Science Education, Al-hikmah University Igbaja campus in 2016 where he taught several undergraduate courses in general plant biology. Thereafter he secured an appointment as a visiting Lecturer with the Continuing Education Center for Ado-Ekiti state University degree programme situated at the Kwara State College of Education Ilorin in 2017 where he also taught several undergraduate courses in general biology. Presently he works with the Department of Biological Sciences, Al-hikmah University Ilorin where he currently serves as the substantive Head of Biology Programme and the acting Executive Secretary of Departmental Board of Examiners as well as the Secretary of the Departmental Postgraduate Board. He is also currently serving as the Faculty Examination Officer in the same University. He had served as the Executive Secretary of Ambali Adebayo Community Association, Ilorin and he was also appointed the Executive Secretary of Transformer Replacement Ad-hoc Committee set up by the Association in 2018. He belongs to several academic bodies including Botanical Society of Nigeria (BOSON), Nigerian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB) and Nigerian Society for Phytofuel to mention but a few. He has also presented about twelve papers in local and international conferences and he has also authored several academic papers published in local and international journal of repute.
