Kamaldeen Ibraheem Nageri, Ph.D., ACS hailed from Nageri’s Compound, Kankatu, Okelele area in Ilorin, Kwara State. He attended Ansar-Ud-Deen primary school, Okepopo, St.Peter’s College, Olomore Abeokuta from where he proceeded to Kwara State Polytechnic for his IJMB A’Levels between 1999-2000. He completed his B.Sc. (Hons) Finance in 2003 and Master of Business Administration in 2009 both from University of Ilorin. He did his Master of Science (M.Sc.) Finance at University of Lagos and completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Finance in 2018 at University of Ilorin. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered stockbroker (ACS), the former Head, Department of Banking and Finance, Al-Hikmah University and currently the Ag. Director, Centre for Community Development, Al-Hikmah University. He was a panelist at the 13th annual National Conference of The Academy of Management Nigeria (TAMN). He is currently a member of the Research and Technical Committee, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, Member, Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin and editorial board member and reviewer of various journals in and outside Nigeria. He has various publications (locally and Internationally) in highly indexed journals (SCOPUS, Web of Science) and has attended numerous conferences. His research interest area includes corporate finance, capital market, corruption, ease of doing business, financial econometrics, financial system among others. He also lectures on part-time basis at Fountain University, Osogbo, Landmark University, Omuaran and He is happily married with kids and likes sports and news.

My research interest from my undergraduate is on corporate finance, with significant focus on Corruption, ease of doing of doing, technology and capital market in the West African sub-region. My Ph.D. thesis was titled “Evaluation of Nigerian capital market efficiency in the pre and post-financial meltdown” where I was able to establish the efficiency form of the market and the ris-return relationship among others. Am working on behavioural attitude of investors and islamic corporate finance in order to widen the scope of my research interest in the future.
