The first batch of scholarship students (18) out of a total of 35 have arrived on Tuesday, 28th March, 2023 to resume academic activities for their Diploma programme at Abdul-Raheem College of Advanced Studies (ACAS), Igbaja Campus.
At a brief reception for the lucky students at Founder’s residence at Adewole Housing Estate, Ilorin, the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Department of Higher Education, Katsina State, Mallam Sani Inuwa Danmusa who led the University from Katsina state indicated that the remaining 17 students who are enerolled for specialized undergraduate programmes (mainly Cyber Security and Software Engineering) would resume later in May. 2023, immediately after Eid Il Maloud.
He added that the Governor is impressed with the pace of development and the quality of education in Al-Hikmah University, hence the choice of the University for scholarship rather than any other.
The Founder, Chief (Dr.) Abdulraheem Oladimeji, OFR, while receiving the students thanked His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, for his generosity and love for the first faith-based institution in Nigeria and prayed that the students graduate on recordsio ( time and with good grades.
The students were given admonition on good conduct, examination misconduct and drug abuse by the Vice-Chancellor, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences as well as Admissions Officer.
Payers were offered for the students before their departure to Igbaja Campus.
