On March 25, 2025, the Auditorium of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) in Abuja buzzed with excitement as academics, policymakers, and university administrators gathered for the public presentation of 50 TETFUND-sponsored textbooks. Among the celebrated scholars were some distinguished senior academics from Al-Hikmah University – Dr. Azeez Tunbosun Lawal, Dr. Sadiat O. Onikosi-Aliyyu, Dr. Abdulrauf Babalola, Dr. Tajudeen A. Adegbite and Dr. Hameedat. B. Olodo – whose co-authored book, Fundamental Statistics in Management and Social Sciences, had earned a coveted spot on the prestigious list.
The book, a product of years of rigorous research and collaboration, was designed to simplify statistical concepts for students and researchers in Management and Social Sciences. It provided real-world applications, practical examples, and user-friendly explanations tailored to the Nigerian academic landscape.
As the Minister of Education officially presented the textbooks to the public, he commended the authors for their contributions to knowledge and the advancement of higher education in Nigeria. Dr. Lawal and his colleagues beamed with pride as their work is now acknowledged as a national academic resource to be circulated among all tertiary institutions in the country and the national library.The event marked a milestone not just for the authors but for Al-Hikmah University, reinforcing its reputation as a hub for academic excellence.
The University Management, led by the amiable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Noah Yusuf received the authors at the Senate Chamber and commended them for their efforts as researchers and worthy ambassadors of the institution. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuously support innovative initiatives and activities that will further enhance the university’s reputation.
