It is with grief and sorrow that the Management of Al-Hikmah University hereby announce the death of Dr. Sikiru Atanda Adenigba (1969 – 2024) the Acting Head of Department, Islamic Studies, who died in a fatal motor accident at about 5.39pm yesterday, Thursday, 18th July, 2024 along Ibadan-Lagos Expressway.
Dr. Adenigba joined the service of Al-Hikmah University on 1st April, 2011 as Assistant Lecturer and was promoted to the rank of Reader 7th June, 2024.
Dr. Adenigba was a diligent, committed, loyal and God-fearing staff. He was admired by both his colleagues and students.
He is survived by his aged father, wife and children.
May Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive him and grant him eternal rest in Aljanat Fridaus. Ameen.
