CURRICULUM REFORM IN THE DIGITAL AGE: EXPLORING THE ROLE OF ICT IN ENHANCING TEACHING AND LEARNING
Abstract
This paper examines the influence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on curriculum restructuring in the digital era. It is crystal clear that the present curriculum content cannot make students compete effectively with others in other nations of the world where ICT is given prominence in the curriculum. As educational systems adjust to keep up with the fast-paced changes in the world, the incorporation of ICT in teaching and learning processes becomes a crucial aspect of curriculum redesign. The research delves into how ICT tools and materials can improve teaching techniques, involve students, and facilitate customized learning experiences. By referencing existing literature and studies in the field, the abstract deliberates on the advantages and obstacles of integrating ICT in education and emphasizes the significance of utilizing technology to equip students for success in a digitalized society. Through a thorough analysis of the role of ICT in curriculum restructuring, this paper seeks to offer insights into effective methods for utilizing digital resources to enhance teaching and learning results. As per the conclusions drawn from this study, one of the recommendations made was for the government to prioritize Human-Centered Technology Use.
