PROMOTING SECONDARY EDUCATION THROUGH EFFECTIVE HUMAN RESOURCE MOBILISATION IN NIGERIA

Abstract

Human resources have been viewed as very critical to the success of every organisational, many schools have realised that it is the human among other resources in an institution that can provide competitive advantage in today’s world educational business. This paper therefore focussed on promoting secondary education in Nigeria through effective mobilisation of human resource. The paper discussed concepts of mobilisation of resources, human resource allocation and human resource mobilisations. The paper also identified some challenges associated with human resource mobilisation such as, shortage of human resources, favouritism and owners syndrome among others. The study therefore recommended that schools must avoid discrimination in recruiting staff, Government should allocate adequate material resources to schools and other teaching aids to facilitate the standard of teaching and learning in schools, Government should allocate adequate financial resources for the smooth running of secondary schools and Business of the school should be completely separated from owners /leadership personal interest.
