Abstract

This research work aims at illuminating the beauties of Islamic law (SHARIAH), which is the current
general subject of discussion in Northern Nigeria, especially in the third republic. Islamic Law is
described as the divine and guidance of Allah to His Messenger (SAW) for the purpose of guidance to
his followers. It is a heavenly Law that guides and commands man to of good behavior individually and
collectively. Therefore this research work examines the characteristics of Islamic Law and its
implementation in Nigeria especially in the Northern part. The work also encourages those who are
fighting tooth and nail to ensure the entrenchment of Devine law which leaves no stone unturned about
human life. The work applies analytical, historical approaches and ends with conclusion and
recommendations.
