SOCIAL MEDIA: THE POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES IN EDUCATION

Abstract

This research aims to know the roles of social media in education by highlighting the positives of social media in
education, the optimal use of these means in the teaching and learning process and the obstacles behind not using
them properly, the most prominent negatives of social media in education, and finally: The following:
Strengthening the role of the family and the school in rooting the good values within the youth and children and
trying to introduce various activities into the school curricula to occupy the minds of the youth and distract them
from what harms and harms them from social media and its danger. Occupying the youth’s free time by developing
their talents and practicing sports. This is the role of the family, which must follow up on its children and youth,
find out what they are distinguished by and excel in, and try to strengthen these points for them.
